Have been following this thread with interest .... I believe any legal protection is a commercially unviable proposition untill there is a commercial proposition evident. Its certainly not cheap and tends to put matters into public domain where a rich company can always cease the opportunity to tactically infringe your filing. By the time you sort it out in court, he's already made his millions. A "Cease & Desist" order requires the best of representation which no entrepreneur can ever afford. I would suggest a strong contractual framework during the search of a producer (A Game Company) and Distribution alongwith Financing for its commercialisation. The Contractual Framework, as I mentioned already, would be provided by a well drafted Non Disclosure, Non Utilisation and Non Circumvention Agreement. The details of the Game would only be disclosed to such parties which consent to sign the draft agreement. Patent, Copyright and Trade Mark registrations are irrelevant untill you've achieved the size and scale to enforce them.Private Reply to Jayant Tewari, OutSourced CFO (new win) |
