Hey Partha, while I trust the legal luminaries present here would be able to give you more insights on the present employment scenario n strategies to cope with the same, may I offer you a little offbeat suggestion more on motivational/inspirational/philosophical side??
Grab the book 'Rainmaker--John Grisham' ,if you already have not read it...it's the story of Rudy Baylor...a young guy about to graduate from law school who shares your various concerns about future & prospective employment. Rudy Baylor maintained his wry sense of humor when almost anything that could go wrong goes wrong ...that includes getting dumped by his long time girl friend, ending up in loads of debt he took to buy gifts for her & to top it up his gifts are stolen & he loses the law firm job he was counting on to repay those debts & build a life for himself ... He battles all these circumstances in the course of the novel. He always has a rich internal dialogue going on.In the most mundane/pathetic situation his mind keeps him entertained. That makes him one of the most endearing n loved protagonist of all times for me.The Rainmaker is the story of his struggles & final triumph as no less than a rainmaker by following a path not travelled by most lawyers (though I'm afraid that involves litigation which you've already declared as not being everyone's cup of tea).
I think if nothing it will entertain you & you can identify a lot with him...I definitely did during my law school days. All the best.
