charuhasan Dear Mr. Partha,

From Bubaneswar to Pune Law College seems a long haul. The economic Boom or Wall Street depression should not seriously affect a working man who wants to make living practicing law or running mobile coffee shop on the road side in Pune, Bombay , Kalyan or Lonawalla.

It is really interesting how people react to a request for advice, depending upon their own knowledge and experience. A person with a Booker ambition advises you read a few books on literature, and another to see a few films of International repute. There is also a political hue in another that blames truck drivers and tells you about farmer’s suicide. I knew many of those farmers who came to Madras with a hundred thousand rupees to play rummy in several clubs that boasted of well equipped bar. The farm laborers who were ready to work for five or ten rupees a day are spoiled by indulgent politicians and gun toting Red reformers that my friends could neither play their Gin-Rummy nor pay back their agricultural debts. The White collared bankers with their penal interest take away their large bungalows driving them to suicide.

My knowledge is limited to criminal trial cases in subordinate courts for 25 years and another active practice in the appellate side of the Madras High court before bungling in a little bit of acting. To day I am going to appear as witness in Rent Control O.P for eviction and fair rent. This happens after another 22 years of film acting and retirement. I could add some more information to what my friends have already provided. Keep in touch by Ryze PM.
