Approaching the Banking Ombudsman (appointed by the RBI) would be the right thing to do, as the case involves complaint against deficiency in banking services. As the provision in this regard envisages, the banking ombudsman has the power to summon both the bank and the aggrieved customers to resolve the dispute through mediation.
