Steven, As usual, what you say here is pure gospel. I have seen this happen many, many times. When someone has an idea they fail to give it the proper testing and when they don't get the results that they want they don't seek out people that may be able to them get it to work. I myself, worked for several years on an idea that I only thought would work. Little by little, I kept improving upon this idea until I got it to where it is today. Yes, I was sure, just like Edison, that this idea would work and I was going to prove it. Finally, I did but it was only after much testing and modification. The lesson here, is that if you believe strongly enough about anything then you will do anything to "Get that Light Bulb To light." So you see Steven, ego is needed because without it, you lose that element of belief that you need in order to succeed. What is ego but the belief that you can do something better or that no one else can do. Think about it, is Donald Trump on an Ego Trip, How about George W. Bush? You bet they are, just to name two, there are many, many more. They have to be to get where they are going. Now, let me ask you this, are you the best at what you do? You had better come up with only one answer, my friend. John Snyder Prof Wordsearch Private Reply to John Snyder (new win) |
