Vanita you have brought back some very fond memories of late 70s-ealy 80s when I was at NDA and later at Lonavala. Cafe Naaz used to be my favourite haunt, and I used to specially like their mutton samosas (though it took some time for my punjabi pride to accept the miniature version). BUN-MASKA in the morning and keema bun in the evening. Those were the days of influx of Iranis' to pune, and my fair and stiff appearence used to get me a number of pecks on the cheek (mistaken identity I guess). In fact Naaz was a hangout joint for Jawa/ Yezdi fans, and I learnt a lot of biking there. Aurora towers was then Westend theatre, and their soda fountain was another favourite joint. And then the cold coffee and choclate balls at Marzorin, lemon lassi at the other end of MG road at Farmer brothers. A few tipplers at RSI, and we used to head straight for Lucky's biryani at Deccan Gymkhana. I miss Pune AkkshaiPrivate Reply to Akkshai Malhotra (new win) |
