My earlier office was next door to the food street (still head there once in a week :-)
Awesome collection of food items in a distance of half a km.. think there are about 100 shops selling simple indian food from idlis to kachoris to ......
You should not miss
- Corn masala (in any of the corn shops) - Hot idlis with spicy coconut / tomato chutneys - Akki / Ragi rotis / sweet polis - Gobi manchurian (Yes... there is this guy who prepares just that!!) - Paddu (paniyarams in tamil) - Bajjis (all varieties... stuffed with onion and carrot with a dash of lime... yum) - And for the sweet tooth .. gulkhand icecream
And you can round it off with a good cold or hot badam milk or gulab jamoon.. generally shops are open from 0630 in the evening till about 1100.. if you can stuff yourself to last for 2 days you would have spent about 50 to 70 bucks. Private Reply to Anand K. R (new win) |
