1) Chawla’s Dhaba / The Dhaba – location – Oshiwara , food – Punjabi , Veg and non Veg, must try – chicken curry kheema tari, with hot nans and glass of nimbu pani (shikanji) or beer whatever you fancy… a good meal for 4 should cost u about Rs. 500-600 without drinks ofcourse
2) Deccan – oshiwara, food – hyderabadi, strictly okayish joint… a meal for two under Rs. 200, without drinks,
3) Out of the Blue – bandra near union park, food – its known for its fondues, must try – desi fondue (am personally not to fond of bland food so this one appealed to me), sizzlers and pasta ( u can make your own pasta), a good meal for two should cost around Rs.1200 -1500 with a couple of cocktails thrown in. got a decent wine list too if interested. It has great offers for ladies who lunch on a particular day with things like manicure etc thrown in and buffet lunches which are reasonably priced.
4) Gazalee – Andheri east – good seafood,
5) Suncity – Andheri east – good buffet lunches , value for money Rs.230 per head with pint of beer
6) Mirador – Andheri east , good buffet lunches and dinner , again value for money
7) Cirkus Cirkus – Andheri east, good buffet lunches / dinner
8) Urban Tadka – good food , Punjabi cuisine… must try tandoori chicken and spicy nimbu pani… don’t miss the jal jeera, a meal for two should cost Rs. 500 -600
9) Rice Boat – for kerala cuisine – Andheri west and Bandra east, must try saddya
10) NH1 Dhaba – Andheri east – Punjabi cuisine, small menu but excellent preparation, a meal for two should cost you under 500 without the drinks…
11) Royal Challenge – goregaon east – its got a great sit out – low seating with hukkas and rajasthani tables, good food, should set you back by 800-100 for meal for 3
12) Jinnies – Pali market, seafood, great interiors, got a bead vendor located inside the hotel for shopping till your food is served… decent food not as compared to gazalee, a meal for 4 should set you back by Rs. 1500-2000 with a couple of cocktails thrown in
13) Tunga international and Tunga paradise… good food, quick service,
14) Mista Paaji – the dishes served here are more like the ones served in papa pancho.. I could hardly make out the difference and the pricing is also the same, well its owned and managed by the same person who owns papa pancho… ;)
15) Picasso – goregaon west near bangur nagar, Punjabi cuisine good food,
16) Trishna opened in Andheri west…. Don’t need to say much on this one….
17) Kailash parbat – Andheri west, I totally freak out on the dishes served here… good dal pakwan, sindhi curry, bhee kababs, bhee curry, etc etc, a good hearty meal for two should set u back by Rs.500,
18) Salt and Pepper, Myst, Ginger Marie – all are Andheri west near infinity mall, salt and pepper for heavy Punjabi meal, good nonveg, must try butter chicken, Myst for continental and Ginger marie for the salads (which actually make up for a meal )
