Just 5 Minutes... |

Food for thought. Coming from a place of understanding how it feels to lose focus, I give you this. You can all have, and have proven you can have and move when you need to and want to... :) So, I ignore the label of ADD/ADHD because I am, and you are much, much more than this... :) This having been said...
As I've done many times before... last night I was relaxing on the couch and my eyes, very heavy began to close and I thought, just five minutes... juuust fiiiive minuuuut zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
:)
What struck me, when I woke up later on at 3:30 a.m. because (and now I'm awake and going to need a nap later or very soon because it is now 5:30 a.m.) my body had rested sufficiently enough to wake me up and say "rise and shine"!
Is, what have you said to yourself? Hmmm?
I said just 5 minutes ... and woke up hours later.
How many times have any one of you said, I'll do it tomorrow (just 5 minutes) and yet a week, a month, a year has gone by and ... you're still saying... "just 5 minutes" ...
The moment it gone isn't it? Time has no keeper. It moves on whether we want it to or not ... life goes on whether we do something we really want to or not.
Now admittedly I'm bleary eyed but I want to share this because "just 5 minutes" or "tomorrow" can turn into 5 yrs., 10 years or 20 years of your life ... in an "instant" ...
So why wait 5 minutes? :)
Get it?
I'm not saying be hard on yourself for the things you may put off in the spirit of prioritizing, however I am saying to prioritize the things you want to do and start doing them... tomorrow will come ... so will the next day, and the next... and in just 5 minutes, you could miss opportunities to turn your life around, learn something new, go out with a friend you may think you're too busy to see, or work out, or build your business...
So the next time you think, "just 5 minutes" ...
Do something, one small thing towards who you really want to be, towards what you really need...and what you really want.
Or in the alternative "take a huge giant leap" towards something you've been putting off!
:)
