I think Tatas have attained a milestone in the world History of Automobile Industry by bringing out a car which can address the high potential world market within the low range. I am not too happy that millions people will pay deposits at certain interest rate and wait fir the car, when cars are produced at the production rate of 300 per month or so. (36000 per year, one lac per 34 months and million per 29 years haha. Hope the other two plants commense soon and 29 years waiting period is resuced to 10 years still bad enough) This rmeinds us of license raj when people waited for 10 years for phone connection and 8-10 years for sccooters) . This gives rise to people selling the allotment letters and making money without any value add and some people end up paying extra money for no value add simply to gain lead time. If this 'on money' Then the so called affordable car eventually may not stay as affordable.Is this likely? Private Reply to Savita Govilkar (new win) |
