I was driving in my car listening to a cd with a song by 50 cent. I know, a 31 year old married white business man with 2 children listening to 50 sounds wild!
I caught myself rewind the cd over and over again to learn the song. Then it hit me. As a leader we need to learn the words just one more time. I was reading a book by Michael Clouse, where he said you master the music one more time. That is exactly what I was doing with the 50 cent song.
In our business, we need to master the music one more time. listen to personal growth cd's, cd's on our industry, read the right books, attend the seminars so that we master the music to our business. We are always prepared when it comes to handeling objections, presenting our business, and more, because we mastered the music just one more time.
Work more on yourself than you do on your business. By that, I mean listen to the tapes your company puts out. Read books that deal with becoming successful in your industry. Listen to motivational cd's and tapes in your car, while you work out, while you walk, etc . .,
