Personally, I knew it was time to retire when my investments and other money were yielding enough to support my lifestyle.
I think it's always the right time to retire and enjoy life. It's finding the means to get there, that poses some problems.
For anyone that cares, the key is to get your money making money for you. You'd be surprised at how far 2K can take you when it's able to compound. "Those who understand compound interest make it. Those who don't understand it, pay it."
