Scott Allen		Motivation is definitely at the top. It's the one thing that comes from within. Knowledge can be bought. Now, I don't want to get into some philosophical debate about tacit vs. explicit knowledge, but you can buy books, buy tapes, buy classes, and hire experts to fill in the knowledge you don't have. My point is, the knowledge is there for ANYONE who is sufficiently motivated. Networking is essential, too, but it is a skill that can be learned, just like any other. I do have a free resource to offer regarding networking: www.OnlineBusinessNetworking.com So I would say that motivation is THE essential. How much of it you need to have, though, depends on how much of the others you have.
