Hi John:
I make most of my money through the internet and network marketing. Failures?!!? YES! Success?!!? YES! It all boils down to three things....the products, the people and the plan.
I firmly believe that one to one distribution in the form of network marketing is going to hit HUGE in the next ten years. Our industry has taken its share of negativity, fly-by-night companies, crooks, etc. However, the viral nature of this distribution method is phenomenal. (Think Hotmail..) Not so publicly, big companies like Procter & Gamble, Citibank, and many others have already made a big impact on network marketing.
The biggest obstacle for most in network marketing is the lack of people to talk to, so a great system is a must have. I work directly with the top money earners in my company, have qualified leads come to me, my team interviews people all across the country and puts people in my business for me. This morning I'm working Las Vegas, California, New Jersey and Florida, and I'm still sitting by my pool drinking coffee in Phoenix.
I do most of my work on the internet and on the phone. I know this sounds too good to be true, but it's really for the good of everyone. And that's the true team spirit of network marketing.
So as you check out the industry, I would suggest that you pick up a book called "The New Professionals". It will tell you all about the industry and also give you insight into some of the older companies and some new ones.
I am currently working on a book tentatively titled "How to Make $100,000 per year ONLINE in Network Marketing". It goes over compensation plans and how to choose a company. If people here are interested and would be willing to critique my advance copy, I'd be willing to post some more information here.
