Hi Audra,
Your main problem is similar to that of most small businesses: how to advertise/get the word out without spending money. There are a number of resources that can help. The Small Business Administration sponsors the SCORE program, where you can receive free marketing mentorship from retired volunteer businesspeople.
Join one or two local chambers of commerce, and attend their networking functions. You and your husband can divide up those chores. You shouldn't have to pay full membership dues right away.
If you and/or your husband are temporarily underemployed, re-read the mission statement of this Network, and follow the path we members are choosing: develop multiple streams of income, and assets that can earn money for you. Your computer skills can work for you here, as Internet-based infopreneurship and network marketing are both taking off. Go to the library and check out the books that are recommended here, seek out a local CashFlow game circle, and don't give up!
