One of my clients network was being used for spaming and a server that had dubious pages and porn. They [FBI] traced the signal to an upstairs apartment. That apartment was leased to a grand mother who only knew her grandson placed a computer in a little used closet. I just found this out when he told me I was write about securing his network. He felt taaht WEP would be enough and he only used teeh wireless for surfing the net.
