I accidentally came across the MyPunchbowl service while looking researching an article on Evite.com, which I have used for some time in promoting events - including business mixers, shopping center festivals, public seminars and workshops. What intrigued me is that MyPunchbowl is actually a comprehensive event planning site. It will even assist you in locating vendors for your event. That also includes having yourself listed on their site as a vendor. Therefore, if you happen to be in the "vendor business" this site can also be used to promote what you do. How about that?

I did join MyPunchbowl. I plan to use it next year when I am ready to promote my next Social Media Meetup Workshop. I feel I can benefit from both Meetup's promotional tools and those of MyPunchbowl. I have not figured a way to incorporate Foursquare into the promotional mix, but school's not out yet on what that option may be able to accomplish. Foursquare seems to be adding new innovations all the time.
