The Mobile Entertainment Summit will explore the trends for mobile content and applications as well as facilitate a deal making environment between content owners and distributors during a September 11 session in Los Angeles. The World Airline Entertainment Association gives its annual conference and exhibition in Miami, September 12-15, focused on educational sessions, workshops and forums on the airline industry's inflight film/TV market. For this year's annual Blue Ribbon Breakfast in New York City, CTAM hosts a forum on cable tv's future. On September 15 in New York City, Dan Glickman, the former United States Secretary of Agriculture and the current President and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America addresses "The State of the Motion Picture Industry." Learning Annex presents "How to Make, Market and Sell Your Film or TV Project" with cinematographer Laszlo Kovacs, producer Ron Colby and editor Kevin Tent, on September 16 in Los Angeles. The IFP Market is a week-long showcase, held each autumn in New York, for new features, works-in-progress, shorts, and scripts, is held this year from September 17-21 in New York City. Entertainment marketing opportunities in film, TV, music and gaming are presented by entertainment marketing executives at the L.A. Office Roadshow 2006, September 18-21 in Hollywood. This year's NAB Radio Show running September 20-22 in Dallas, incorporates podcasting technology and innovation, and a range of other topics. The International Bluegrass Music Association once again hosts an "interactive" discussion format and will expand the popular "Gig Fair" and other features like the DJ Taping Sessions and Song Demo Listening Sessions, etc., when it takes place in Nashville, September 24 to October 1. The 44th Annual New York Film Festival, under the auspices of The Film Society of Lincoln Center, features a retrospective of “50 Years of Janus Films” in this year's programming from September 29 to October 15. At the September 29 Golden Score Awards, in Universal City, the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers (ASMAC) honors James Newton and Jeremy Lubbock over silent auction of music memorabilia, gourmet dinner and live entertainment.
