sherry woodhouse A long time ago I did a free submit for the vacation property that we market to Yahoo's Directory and got in. Today I did a search and realized that we are no longer in their directory and it costs $299 per year - assuming they accept you. We use their pay-per-click (formerly Overture). I was thinking of signing up for their travel site pay per click also. Is it really necessary to pay the $299 per year to be in the directory or would that money be better spent elsewhere. A long time ago you just "had" to be in the Yahoo Directory - or so it seemed. We also have a wedding planning website which we never submitted. I'm not sure about submitting that one either.

Any thoughts.
