Advantages of a printed newsletter over an electronic newsletter:
* Printed newsletters stacked up on the coffee table get read at odd moments. Even if electronic newsletters are saved, they rarely get read at a later date.
* Printed newsletters make good bathroom reading, but who brings their computer into the bathroom to read electronic newsletters?
* Printed newsletters can be passed along when packing things for shipping. The bits that make up electronic newsletters don't make good packing material.
* Printed newsletters offer "messies" an excuse for delaying their housecleaning chore - they get read again before being tossed. Electronic newsletters don't capture the eye in the same way.
While I agree that electronic newsletters are far better for both the ecology and the sender's budget, printed newsletters are far more likely to be read.
