While I am a Skype user, I am also a Talkshoe.com talk show host. Talkshoe.com is a great service for free public and private conference calls. Talkshoe even has what it calls a "Talkshoe button." This button allows you to join a conversation without having to make a phone call. Pressing the button brings you into the conference room to talk. No phone charges.

Now, it is possible to get on Talkshoe using Skype. I happen to have a Skype-In phone number. Therefore, I can get on the call for free using Skype. Of course, I did pay a fee to get a Skype-In phone number - about $30 for an entire year of free unlimited calling to the US and Canada.

There are also Skype WiFi phones out there as well as free Skype software available for Windows Mobile cell phones. So, it is possible to make FREE mobile calls into Talkshoe without needing a computer. I encourage you to visit Skype and see what is currently available.
