This weekend Langtry Farms hosts the Second Annual Cattle Dog Showcase. This event drew 1,500 people when it premiered last year. Believe it or not, this is a national event taking place in Middletown, CA. From what I understand, many folks actually camp out for the weekend on the Langtry Estate grounds. Yes, people actually pay money to watch dogs chase cows. This year, I may be among them. I am that curious. The action gets underway this weekend, Oct. 13th and 14th. The following Thursday, the Middletown Area Business Association has its annual dinner at the Hidden Valley Lake Country Club.
