Fortunately, a lot more people showed up for the event than actually bothered to RSVP. But, some Ryzers from around the world did bother to RSVP - some even sent audio clips endorsing the event event though they obviously could not be there. The real challenge here as I see it is to get the locals "to care." There seems to be a problem getting even the folks of my own church - folks who are working the festival (it's 17th year)- to bother to RSVP. And here, they asked me to help them. I was lucky to get news of this party placed on the front page of the local newspaper. While folks were pleased with what I was able to accomplish for them, most refused to do the simplest thing I requested of them - click a mouse button on an Evite and RSVP. I made phone calls, sent letters and even handed out cards about this to MY OWN CHURCH MEMBERS! It hurts when people actually ask for your voluntary help and then will not help you help them.
