When I do use photobucket, it's generally to resize an image. However, when I am done, even though photobucket hosts the image, if it's business related I "save target as" and bring the photo back to my own server or just store it neatly in folders on my computer. I like haven't important images close to my heart :-)
I haven't used Photoshop (my computer came with Corel and I have only used the basic version) but Susan is going to teach me how to size images on another software program called "Gimp" which everyone says is the same as Photoshop with one exception - it's free :-) So it will be good to learn the skills with that until the day when I may want to spread my artistic wings a bit more.
I just want to mention how instrumental Susan has been in changing my technical life and empowering me. She found free software programs for me to use that allow me to work on my server and create all my own website pages now and I never would have suspected that I could have such an instinct for the artistic side of technology.
It's very empowering to have learned the skills myself instead of having to depend on others for every little update. Thanks to Susan, I have earned the distinctive title of "Techno Mama." :-)
Photo images are just the next step in my evolution.
