It's funny, Diana, but your post and Felicia's newest really run along a theme we should all be considering: taking care of ourselves. As I noted in my comment on Felicia's post, we have to nurture ourselves in order to build up the resources (time, money, energy) we need for serving others.
I know that I have a low tolerance for overwhelm, so I schedule only one client per day (which allows for late starts, client emergencies, traffic issues, bank deposits, etc.) and refuse to schedule clients so early that it requires me to get up in the morning earlier than I can cope with easily. I'm a night person, writing until 2 a.m., so agreeing to see a client at 8a would ruin my day and my mood. What's the point of running my own company if I can't run it my way. ;-)
Beyond that, I visit my acupuncturist almost every week, usually on Friday afternoon. Aside from the medical benefits I receive, that hour I snooze in darkened room with the classical music playing and the candle flickering...has more ability to both relax and reinvigorate me than any night of sleep.
Hope you all take good care of yourselves this weekend.
