Thanks for the updates and for those of you who have posted your ONE goal for the first time.
Remember that a goal should be specific and measurable in addition to being time activated. Making a general statement as a goal is often too overwhelming and can cause you to procrastinate and abandon the goal.
For example.
1. Get more publishers for my small business tips column -- http://www.deniseoberry.com/myob.html -- is a pretty general statement.
2. Syndicate my column to 10 more offline outlets and 25 more online outlets by June 30, 2006 -- is much more specific.
A specific goal is much more actionable than one that is general in nature. Tackling a general goal is kind of like trying to chew an entire elephant rather than taking one bite at a time.
