Emily,

I could be wrong, but I think most people are a combination of both farmer and hunter. Of course, some will lean more in one direction than the other.

We all need to eat. But, do we all need to be the one who spends a lot of time in the kitchen? Some folks really enjoy kitchen duty. Hence, the awesome popularity of the Food Channel. However, I am not one of those people. Just let me have use of a microwave oven and I am a happy camper. But, put me in a kitchen with all kinds of spices and measuring spoons and I will go nuts...if there is not a microwave oven to use. I just don't care for the old pots and pans way of doing things in the kitchen. I have become a "heat-it-and-eat" guy. I have heard that eating food cooked in the microwave is not healthy. But, no one has tried to halt the selling of microwaves so far as I know. If farmers are supposed to be patient people, I do not feel I totally qualify.

On the other hand, I have never had the desire to hunt for what I wanted to eat. However, I do find myself doing a great deal of hunting for things online, so maybe I should think of myself as a hunter. I would much prefer to think of myself as just a marketing guy.
