How to reduce your website's bounce rate.Views: 260
Jan 15, 2010 12:45 am How to reduce your website's bounce rate.

I hope this information will help those who have a high bounce rate on their websites.

I halved my website's bounce rate by making some changes to the text on my Home Page.

My bounce rate was 60% and came down to 30% in just one day and I am sure it was due to the changes I made.

I decided to highlight the benefits on my product rather than the features.

Instead of rattling off the cold facts about my product (which of course I felt were very important), I listed the benefits to the potential buyer.

Headings are important but I didn't want to change my Home Page heading because it contains my main search keywords.

So, I added a sub-heading that contains a benefit and a call to action.

My bounce rate halved and the duration of each visit went up and the number of pages viewed by visitors went up.

(Now for sales to double LOL).

I hope this post will be useful to some.
