I particularly want to encourage you to find some people who are activists in your local area and to start a Local Discussion Forum as part of the E-Democracy movement run by Steven Clift. During the coming depression those communities who can get themselves organised online will have a distinct advantage. Do it now, give your own district a fighting chance.

In a depression, every city or provence should try to develop it's own local issues forum. Thanks to the work of E-Democracy.Org, this idea is well tested and there are good tools and a sound record of experience to build on.
