Somewhere out there on the scrapheap of marketing history there are also people who have said things like:

"You can get a cup of coffee for ten cents. No one will EVER pay two bucks for a cup of coffee."

And:

"How can you charge two bucks for a bottle of water? You can get it free from the drinking fountain."
