Hey Chris,
I have not adopted developing templates using just css positioning yet because it's not cross-browser friendly. Most of the sites I work on have a considerable amount of Netscape 4 users and the css positioning usually looks just awful for them.

For example look at the following site in IE then look at it in NS4: http://www.csszengarden.com/

Too many sales/leads would be lost if we used this method. When the number of NS4 users dramatically decreases for us I may consider developing this way.
