Hello Everybody,

I am new to this group. Wanted to share few thoughts about some of the latest trends in technologies which are in demand for last few years. User Interactivity – User Interface – Graphics User Interface these are the few words which are constantly there in advertise of any software product. That’s why GUI is one of the major parameters in QA.

Till now the conventional way of designing UI components was that using HTML page design methodologies, nowadays Flash Action Scripting has given us a new tool to design GUI and navigation patterns more and more creatively. As a result many web/LAN/Desktop application which are used for data-processing and management can now be developed using flash as front end. Below is a structure of these types of applications which will show you possible options to choose the development platform.

Technology Platform Options

Adobe has one more tool called cold-fusion which gives us flexible ways of designing GUI.

Internet availability and bandwidth is continuously improving also the development of new compression techniques made it very easy for to implement a Flash based Data-driven application.

People today are fed up with the conventional UI components such as dropdown list or pop-up which opens abruptly when clicked and have a navy blue highlight on roll-over, instead if they can have a dropdown which is opening slowly and can have number of audio visual effects.

I hope this is an useful introductory information on this technology trend. Please share your thoughts and feel free to contact me regarding any query about this topic.
