You might take a look at the following two books, both of which should be available at a university library, or can still be ordered online or from the publisher:

"Impact of Technology on Successful Aging (Springer Series on the Societal Impact on Aging)"

"Communication, Technology and Aging: Opportunities and Challenges for the Future"

Additionally, there was a recent paper at the CHI 2004 conference that you might find relevant.

"Older adults and web usability: is web experience the same as web expertise?" can be downloaded from the ACM Digital Library (membership required) at: http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/985921.986072

Best of luck!
