May 12, 2004 8:29 pm Does Bio metrics, hand writing recognition fall under usability?
Rahul Baji
Hi All,

This is my first post to the group.

I have a friend who hates to type on the keyboard.
She is a fantastic doctor, but a novice computer user.

That really set me thinking.
She could use a stylus based input device and she could "write" on to the computer rather than "type" on to it.

Extending this further, she could "login" to an application using a bio-metric device. she just has to place her finger on to the device and the user is "authenticated"

Do these ideas fall under usablity?

Any comments from the experts?

Regards,
Rahul
