I think Point One is right on! I am simply amazed by how many business owners are "do-it-yourselfers" when it comes to their company’s website. A business would hire a print company to develop a professional brochure or mail kit without thinking twice, but when it comes to the web everyone wants to develop their own site. It's a shame because they end up with a site that looks completely amateurish and unprofessional. And, since they designed it themselves they are in love with it.

I thought that Point Two was innovative, but I hope it never happens. I hate the entire "big brother" aspect online. A browser that watches my every move and responds to it is too much for me.

>Websites are about content (right?!) and there's alot of websites out there that have great content but are often let down by poor UI's, navigation, lousy optimisation, poor marketing and therefore low awareness and a host of other issues. Inversely, there's a lot of websites that look great but have poor content...(analogy.....the good looking girl who can't hold a conversation).. The fundamental point I'm trying to make is that site owners and contributers ultimately need to just stick to what they know best...CONTENT...providing readers with relevance.

The result is the users (US) get bogged down - sure, we have our favourites but we're always tempted to try the latest site. I think we will move to a 'web-butler' approach - a bit like a virtual assistant. It's an intelligent browser that learns what we like, what we search for etc. Over time, this butler knows exactly the info we search for hourly/daily/weekly/on pay day...etc etc. The result is thus...we don't actual visit sites or search for them and websites from a presentational perspective don't exist.
