Job Overview:
This position is responsible to provide support for conducting user requirements and usability evaluations for CA products.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and perform usability activities. This includes project planning, recruitment, logistics, conducting evaluations, analyzing results, documenting issues, and proposing and prioritizing recommendations.
Deliver UI recommendations in the form of documentation, suggested page designs, story-boards, or a moderate level of prototyping.
Educate development and product management in UCD principles.
Generalize usability findings to apply to corporate UI standards and consistency with other products.
Preferred Education :
Master’s Degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, or related HCI discipline is preferred.
Work Experience :
Typically 1 to 5 years of experience conducting usability studies.
Specific Skills and Certifications :
Proven ability to plan and conduct usability tests, cognitive walkthroughs, heuristics evaluations, surveys, interviews, competitive analyses, card sorts, task and needs analyses, user profiling, and other usability methodologies. Knowledge of information and application architecture. Some design and prototyping skills. Experience with Thick and Thin- Client enterprise software is preferred. Familiarity with Windows OS, HTML, JavaScript, Java, and graphic and prototyping tools. Candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication, presentation, project management, and negotiation skills. Ability to build trusting and cooperative relationships with product teams is a must.
