Revival of Thumri

I am interested in effort to revive some “going extinct” genre of music, like the Thumri.

Recently I have published an article on Thumri in the Deccan Herald – Kaun gali gayo Shyam (link below)

This was more to awaken interest in this genre and do something about it and not as an one-off piece of writing.

I am looking at organizing lecture / demonstration / performance by established artists.
