Reading the line "Yava Janmada Maitri" made me write about the beauty of this song as well as the story behind it.
The song YAAVA JANMADA MAITRI from the movie Gauri is probably one of the very very few songs that conveys Love in its entirety...

You could say the same 2 lines to your Girl Friend,Boy Friend, a Friend , Sister,Brother, Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma.... practically anyone, but yet convey your love for them in that context. I cant think of any other song which could do that ...
Incidentally this song was also the first time, Jnanpith award winner and Rashtrakavi Kuvempu wrote lyrics for a movie. He was asked to write a duet song on love for this movie, but he refused. After much persuasion he agreed to write a song on love(no duet)and this was the masterpiece that came out. I think only Kuvempu could have come out with something like this.
