I think I'd be careful about this. In my experience, and based on what I've read, people very often just won't click through to read something. If it arrives in their e-mailbox, they'll read it (assuming they originally signed up for it at least, which obviously is the case here!). But if they get an e-mail that requires them to click a link, they just ... aren't ... going ... to ... do ... it.
