Dina here. I think your theory about the link is right-on. The purpose of the emailed newsletter is to keep you in the customer's mind. Even if they don't read it, or take their time in reading it, you're able to send that email reminder about you and your business.

I use Constant Contact to create my company newsletter. It creates the newsletter, in html format, but you don't have to know html to use it. Coincidentally, this month I posted some tips on Constant Contact on my Ryze page. Check out the article if you like!

Also, Constant Contact offers a free trial period for new customers, which is great because if you don't like it, you don't have to keep their service. Good luck!
