When he was a youngster, my Great Dane swallowed an entire birdís nest. Iíd seen him carrying it and because I was inexperienced with dogs in those days, let him have it. Next thing I knew, it was gone, and so I assumed that he had dropped it somewhere. That evening he had a tummy ache. And when he threw the nest up, we knew just where it had disappeared!

The other thing, and this gross, he threw up a dead mouse. My cats had no doubt killed it and he found it on the floor and he decided to have a taste. It was really disgusting to see a mauled dead mouse that was vomit.

I remember seeing a program on TV where a smallish mixed breed dog ate not only an entire cake, but the pastry knife as well. The x-ray was quite something! The surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York was a success.

Does the black olive that my doggie ate this evening count? Heíll snatch ANYTHING that lands on the floor.
