I moved the winter clothes to the study closet and moved the summer clothes into the bedroom closet.
While I was at it, I used a couple of those space bags (where you remove the air and seal the bag; I LOVE those!) and put most of my sweaters in them, along with a visible note so I could see what the bag contained and when I had sealed it. Then I finally took a bunch of towels and sheets I had't used in years to Goodwill, which opened up some more space that I promptly filled by "sealing" my flannel sheet sets.
Then, using a tip from someone on this board, I think, I went through all my translucent shoe boxes, got rid of two pairs, then made polaroids of the shoes and attached them to the end of the boxes so I no longer have to root around in all those boxes looking for what I think I have.
Such simple little things that will save me hours of aggravation.
I've ordered the new Macintosh Tiger operating system, so last night I started to back up some crucial files and realized I could clean a LOT of stuff off my hard drive and store it on Zip disks. The new operating system is supposed to be wonderful at finding stuff on your hard drive, but I figure it's even better if the system doesn't have to look through all that "stuff."
