I just came back from the gym. My membership was expiring in a couple of weeks so I asked one of the personal trainers about the options. He asked me in his limited English, "How long for? Here 6 months special price, yes, okay." I showed him the calender and told him that I'll be going back to Canada after 7.5 months so I want to pay for that whole period. He went into the "thinking mode"....
Then looked up, smiled and said, "Okay, 6 months." I said, "No, no, I want to pay for 7.5 months, Sep, Oct, Nov,...." (while showing him the calender). Again he said, "Yes, okay 6 months, cash, yes, hana month service." Then his partner who spoke better English explained to me that I have to pay for only 6 months and right now they have a special price for it so I'll be paying way less and the rest of the month and a half to complete the 7.5 months is free (here in Korea, they use the word "service" for free stuff). I said. "Really. Gamsahamnida (thank you)." He smiled and said, "I like you, you good wagook (foreigner)", hahaha.
So I got another deal! Paid for 6 months (special price) and got a month and half for FREE. Wooo Hooo! Thank God.
