lacking in what area? My prospective as a artist is sometimes less is more. hmm What I am lacking now(i been in the biz 20 + years) is any intrest in playing for cheap paying venues and nightclubs that choose to employ dj's over paying a fair wage for live music! i will never play a live show for 50 bucks a show ever evr ever (unless its a benifit concert)... ok 50 bucks for 3 hours preformance??? thats not enough to pay for gasoline and dinner... I'd rather do something different even though it's easy to get a cheezy gig. To get me to go back onstage in a club-my pay starts at 300 a show three sets or 250 for 2 sets minimun. They(clubs and venues) can have thier dj's but live music performance needs to be valued. For example; it took me a lifetime to learn what i do, but i think plugging in cd's and mp3's to dj is for punks with no real musical talent IMHO. however this doesn't mean i have stopped playing and recording for my own need to be creative. obviously thats all i care about is the music i in the first place :) (hey greg hehehe don't get me started on how cds ruined live music , heh j/k). anyone wanna reply to me pls mail me i'll get you response sooner- peace jen
