Paul Mitchell		Latin Pride Los Angeles Festival offers musical stages, cultural and art exhibits and after parties, all happening September 4-5 at various locations around Beverly Hills. The Houston Music Roundtable is an ongoing session every Tuesday night at Under the Volcano bringing artists and music industry producers together for a happy hour like networking session. BMI's Pick of the Month Showcase, a showcase series that helps expose bands and artists to the industry and public, features this month's show at The Roxy, September 9. Canadian Country Music Week, from September 10-13, hosts an open mic every night beginning at midnight in the Stampede Studio at the Westin Hotel. West Coast Songwriters Conference at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills will be held September 11 & 12. The Thelonious Monk Institute's International Jazz Competition honors the winners of its competition on September 12 & 13 at Kennedy Center Concert Hall, Washington, DC. The Kagan Digital Media Executive Summit happens this year at the Four Seasons in Las Vegas, September 22 & 23, and explores traditional broadcast and entertainment industries convergence with new media. The Americana Music Conference & Awards at the Nashville Convention Center runs from September 23-25. The 26th edition of the Aspen Film Festival honors actor-producer Michael Douglas at an award ceremony during its run from September 28 to October 3.
