Thanks for the link showing how to set up a twitter account.
Now we need to learn what to do when you get there.
1. you need followers: find someone who has quite a few followers (easy to do, just go to his/her Profile page and click on "followers" at the top) and then "follow" all of them. Let's say you click on 500 followers. It takes about 5 seconds for each person so there is an investment of a little time, not more than an hour.
2. You can expect at least half of them to "follow" you back IF they like what they see in your Profile. If you send them to a sales page through your link, they are likely to think you are a spammer and they may not follow you. Remember, the idea is to obtain a good following, a following of people you want to communicate with.
3. So, after a few days you may have 250 followers. I would make about 10 posts in the first 5 days just to get people to see what you are about. What to post? Send them to great pages you have found about almost anything. If you see a funny page, post the link after a few words of introduction like "Here is a video about marketing" (link).
4. Now you have some gas in your Twitter tank. Get to know a few of your followers more closely. Look at their profiles. Send them a personal message through their Profile page (or just type in @(their handle) like this one for me @calgreg at the beginning of your post. It must be at the beginning of the post or the people following you will see your message. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but it may not be your goal.
5. Now you are on your way to making a lot of important contacts for your business. However there is a lot more to do. Nothing good happens fast. If you want some fast action, buy some stocks from Wall Street. It may be fast but not recommended. ;P
Frankly, I've become an evangelist for social network marketing as you can tell. Go for it.
