>>>> When people list they have 3 or 4 different businesses going on at once, I start to wonder how competent or credible you really are at anything at all.

I was of the same opinion initially! But then after building a business online for a few months, I have become less critical of people trying to create multiple income streams. There are advantageous without sacrificing one's credibility.

Just to give you a simple example : Most people buy leads to market their business program. These companies that sell leads (due to competitiveness and to have an extra edge) provide online marketing lessons on how to use the leads effectively. In addition , they also have an affiliate program where you are automatically an affiliate. You benefit financially if you promote with intent or not the leads to your organisation. Therefore you have created an additional income stream.Over time it can grow.

Web gurus are very knowledgeable and creative. They will create a software program to enhance your marketing depth. It's free to sign up for the simple feature but embedded within the software program are very special features which only paying members can use. So here you go again with another affiliate program where you can create an income by just upgrading. One would do it without hesitation if you have a team of members behind you who would also benefit from the program.Over time it can be lucrative.

As you can see , the affiliate programs are linked to the primary program......creating 3 income streams. Few people I know are doing it successfully in 3-4 programs.....but it has taken them 10 or more years. They start with one program initially and when it is on solid ground, they move on to the next....and so on. No different from traditional businesses.

But to actively start and build 3 or 4 primary programs all together at the same time is stretching the truth a bit much.
