Victor S. James Hi Scott,

This is a little bit out of my league, though I thought that I would share these comments anyway..

You look very relaxed.. much more informal than in the other one. Your expression is somewhat quizzical, if not slightly puzzled, with your head cocked somewhat to one side. The cocking of the head reminds me very much of the very old RCA commercial of that little dog looking into the horn of a xylophone, with intense curiosity and his head tilted way to one side.

Your beard seems to look red and your hair looks dark brown, and a completely different texture as well.. Your hair is thick, and your beard looks rather thin.. That's rather interesting... I've seen other guys with different hair texture and hair color. The brief times that I have grown a full beard, mine was exactly the same texture and color as my hair, except that my beard did have some salt and pepper in it. I wonder what genetics causes some guys to be exactly the same and others to be different.. Not that it matters.

Whomever took the picture evidently had the aperture setting rather wide, purposely blurring the background to give it depth. Very nice touch. I used to do that frequently in some of of my pictures. I used to be a semi-pro photographer years ago.. Haven't done it for quite a while, and the technology has changed dramatically since then. However the basics are the same, whether film or digital. Am I supposed to say something like "my two cents"... now?
