Commercial Management Accountant:
Roles and Responsibility:
• The role is positioned within the Commercial Management Team, pivotal to providing detailed management reporting and decision support. As an active Commercial representative in the sales and Marketing teams the role offers exposure to key decision-makers, providing first hand experience of the commercial aspects of a dynamic business.
Key duties will include,
• To actively involve in coordinating with operating/ delivery departments in finalizing work completion / billing plans.
• Analysis on sales volume vis-à-vis expenses
• Budgeting and forecasting, working closely with budget holders, both for Revenue and for expenses
• Commercial vetting of proposals, building cost models for new projects, new geographies.
• Analysis of Revenue achievement with costs incurred
• Involvement in sales negotiation planning
• Modeling and challenging of new service / new geography profitability
• Collect the cost elements that go into pricing from the Financial accounts of the company.
• Devise overhead allocation to projects / opportunities
• Prepare country specific rate cards
• Prepare Relationship summary from Revenue, Profitability and resource allocation
• Devise approaches to Fixed Prices
• Quantify risks and embed them in pricing models.
Candidate eligibility:
• Preferably a qualified Cost Accountant or Chartered Accountant
• Previous experience, two to five years of management accounting roles, or commercial function and or cost Accounting roles.
• the ability to demonstrate very good communication skills
• be highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
• Though industry is not a bar but work experience in a Manufacturing environment would be given preference.
