Well, I think one of the best things that happen in the US is just that weekend trips and weekend get together s.
Most of us seldom miss out on both. It is usually weeken travels in the three season spring, summer and fall. The winter is for the get together.
Also are the other social activities. Many of the Indian kids who learn some kind of arts like barathanatyam have their arangetrams in summer. Then comes dussera( navarathiri). The temple gets involved.
Fall ends with Halloween night and then starts our countdown for the coming of Santa Claus.
I think it is possible in India as well, the northies do this if I am correct. When I did do the bangalore-chennai road trip it was so good. Peak summer, still the kids enjoyed. I did not drive.
One can go to mahabalipuram by car or a train trip in India. Train journeys were so nice this time. My kids had long train journeys esp those in the aternoons.
Driving is a pleasure in US once you are out of busy cities. GPS gadgets helps to take the burden of lost direction sybdrome.Private Reply to Ganesh Ram (new win) |
